We are going Atlantic Blue this World Oceans Day!

We are going Atlantic Blue this World Oceans Day!

The initiative “Go Atlantic Blue” is being organised by the Horizon 2020 funded AORA-CSA, and will light up in blue at night more than 35 different famous buildings, landmarks, airports and attractions across Ireland over the weekend 7-10 June – a highly visible means to raise awareness of the Atlantic Ocean. Our brother-initiative Atlantic Ocean Research Alliance  (AORA) promotes and supports this action as a way to maximise the global outreach.

Businesses, shops, schools and homes across the country will also “Go Atlantic Blue” on the day. Everyone’s participation highlights the strong connection that we have with the Atlantic Ocean and the multiple ways that it affects and enriches our daily lives. Through social media, this initiative asks people to share their stories on how they connect to the Atlantic Ocean and what they want to celebrate about it.

You can follow all the social media activity using #GoAtlanticBlue and #WorldOceansDay to link with a community of fellow ocean appreciators!

We will continue to disseminate other events, news, opportunities, project, etc., that will help to solidify and expand the All Atlantic Ocean Community. Make sure you keep up to date and join our initiative by registering to our newsletter and by following our social media.
