All-Atlantic 2021 Conference outcomes

The Portuguese Presidency of the Council of the European Union, in close cooperation with the European Commission, hosted from 2-4 June 2021, in Ponta Delgada (Azores Island) the All-Atlantic2021 – All-Atlantic R&I for a Sustainable Ocean: Ministerial High-Level & Stakeholders Conference with remarkable success!

More than 5000 stakeholders gathered virtually or in situ to attend this 4th All-Atlantic Ocean Research Forum to discuss how to upscale the existing All-Atlantic marine research and innovation cooperation

With a slight lift of COVID-19 overall restrictions, it was possible to organize the event in a hybrid format which gathered around 80 in person invitees and around an impressive 5000 virtual participants in its three days, including Ministers, governmental agencies/institutions, high-level representatives, ocean leaders, researchers, youth, entrepreneurs, stakeholders, academics, civil society across and along the Atlantic Ocean, from “pole to pole” to discuss the progress of the current All-Atlantic marine research and innovation cooperation.
