The SBEP is a game changer initiative and partnership that aims at implementing locally impactful actions through a co-design process, within a pan-European approach and open to international cooperation.
The objective of the workshop is to present the future work of the SBEP and stimulate cooperation opportunities in the Atlantic basin among SBEP partners, with other existing EU Partnerships, as well as with a broader Atlantic community. It is important for both the All-Atlantic Ocean Research and Innovation Alliance (AAORIA) community and the SBEP to understand each other specificities, for which research, innovation gaps and future common steps can be discussed. Research and Innovation and international cooperation are the horizontal pillars of the European Atlantic Action Plan, contributing to the strategic objectives defined in the EU Atlantic Strategy. Furthermore, the workshop will be an opportunity to identify possible contributions to the Mission ‘Restore our Ocean and Waters by 2030’.
