The first virtual edition of the All-Atlantic Ocean Research Forum

The first virtual edition of the All-Atlantic Ocean Research Forum, hosted by South Africa and co-organised by the European Commission, took place on 3-4 December 2020. It gathered over 60 speakers from along and across the Atlantic Ocean and showcased the All-Atlantic Ocean Research Alliance’s valuable contribution to the post-pandemic socio-economic recovery. Cooperation towards a healthier and more sustainable Atlantic Ocean was a key topic. Citizen science and engagement were also high on the agenda, as well as the role of youth as drivers of change in their own communities.

Many were the highlights, and we have tried to capture most of them in this summary!
