The first Atlantic Ocean Research Insight video has just been released!

Listen to the story of Dr. Chie Amano, from the University of Vienna, Department of Functional and Evolutionary Ecology, featuring her research on bacteria activities in the deep-sea environment, and learn why it is so important for a better ocean management.

This is one of the several videos that has been produced during the “He(Art) of Research” public speaking workshop facilitated by Jive Media Africa on the 9th and 10th of November 2021, where researchers from 11 institutions across Africa, Europe, and South America participated and learnt how to share their research in 90-second storytelling video. The workshop has been organised by the National Research Foundation (NRF) and SAEON and the Department of Science and Innovation, South Africa, in the scope of the All-Atlantic Ocean Research Alliance, and under the EU-funded project AANChOR CSA.

Tailored for a general public audience, these videos want to increase ocean literacy, awareness, and visibility of research and innovation carried across the Atlantic Ocean by the participants, highlighting the importance for the environment and for the society.

Stay tuned on our All-Atlantic Ocean Research Alliance YouTube channel dedicated playlist for the release of the other videos and dive with us into science storytelling!
