The All-Atlantic Ocean Research and Innovation Alliance (AAORIA) unites countries across the Atlantic to advance marine research and innovation. This Atlantic community is unique in its scale, and it includes Atlantic countries of Europe, Africa, North and South America, and both polar areas. The work of this Alliance furthers the implementation of the Galway and Belรฉm Statements along the priorities defined by the All-Atlantic Declaration.
The registration is now open for this yearโs AAORIA Forum, which will be hosted by the European Union, which holds the chairmanship in 2025. The EU AAORIA chairmanship agenda is aligned with the EUโs Atlantic Strategy and builds closely on the work of the EU Mission ‘Restore our Ocean and Waters’.
The Forum will showcase the achievements of implementing the AAORIA Declaration, and advance on all areas of cooperation agreed among the partners of AAORIA. The event will further promote activities aimed at the transfer of science knowledge and solutions to local communities along the Atlantic, such as the upcoming network of Atlantic Beacon Sites (demonstration sites for coastal resilience), which will allow cooperation among inter-linked policy areas based on scientific results. The Forum will also advance the Atlantic inter-generational dialogue through a Blue Intergenerational Programme.
Register now!
This is your chance to be part of an inspiring and welcoming community dedicated to advancing ocean science, innovation, and cooperation from pole to pole. The Forum is open to all, so do not miss this opportunity.
Please note that attendance is free, but spaces are limited, and registration will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis. We encourage all interested participants to register as soon as possible, particularly those who may require an invitation letter for visa purposes.
As part of our commitment to accessibility, the Forum will also be web-streamed, and recordings will be made available on the AAORIA website following the event.
A detailed programme and information about additional events and activities during the Forum week will be shared soon.
