The All-Atlantic Ocean Research Forum, taking place on 6 – 7 February 2020 in Brussels, will gather political and community leaders, researchers, industry, youth ambassadors and, inspirational speakers from along and across the Atlantic, from the Arctic to Antarctica, to showcase the results of cooperation and their impact on the citizens living on the shores of the Atlantic.
Register now for the All-Atlantic Ocean Research Forum and join us to witness what many Atlantic coastal countries and beyond, and many EU funded projects have achieved together since their Atlantic Journey begun in 2013!
The Forum will define the new strategic direction and political ambitions for the Alliance, which was launched with the signings of the European Union–United States–Canada Galway Statement in 2013, the European Union–Brazil–South Africa Belém Statement in 2017, and the European Union-Cape Verde-Argentina Cooperation Agreements in 2018.
In particular, the Forum will define how the Alliance will deliver on:
- the European Green Deal,
- the UN Decade of Ocean Science for Sustainable Development,
- the Horizon Europe Mission Healthy Oceans, Seas, Coastal and Inland Waters, and
- a just transition to a healthy ocean and a climate neutral planet.
Join leading artists, scientists, and thought-leaders as they take you on an expedition of artistic, cultural and collaborative discoveries dedicated to fostering a deeper understanding of the Ocean through the lens of art and to engendering creative solutions to our most pressing issues.
Back-to-back with the Forum, there will be other events in scope of the All-Atlantic Ocean Research Alliance activities gathering stakeholder from across and along the Atlantic Ocean. Stay tuned for more information about these events!
