Help shape the future of Blue-Cloud!

The Blue-Cloud Project has taken a step further towards co-designing a collective, community vision for the future evolution of Blue-Cloud, a web-based cyberspace where marine researchers and innovators will come together to share data and engage in Open Science to advance knowledge and sustainability of the Ocean. If you work in the marine & maritime domain, you too can have your say in the way this ambitious initiative develops into the future, so it responds to your needs and expectations. It will take you 20 minutes to answer a survey towards this end, yet your answers will inform the Blue-Cloud Roadmap to 2030, a strategic vision and plan to drive the future development of Blue-Cloud into the decade. The consultation begins on 28 June 2021 and remains open until 20 September 2021.

About the Blue-Cloud Roadmap to 2030

To guide the long-term development of this ambitious initiative, the Blue-Cloud project Partners are producing the Blue-Cloud Strategic Roadmap to 2030, as a stakeholder driven, co-created vision towards advancing the pilot Blue-Cloud platform into a leading and multi-functional blue knowledge system for the wider marine community in Europe and beyond, as a marine thematic component of the European Open Science Cloud (EOSC). The first draft release of the roadmap is now public and can be used by respondents to inform their answers to the consultation.

This early draft is not a preliminary blueprint of the Blue-Cloud Roadmap to 2030, but rather an intermediary step towards gathering additional input, feedback and insight from the Blue-Cloud Community towards its evolution and grounding, benefiting from wide stakeholder consultation. The results of this 2nd online survey will be used to inform strategic policy recommendations for the future evolution of Blue-Cloud, contributing to shape Blue-Cloud Roadmap to 2030, which will be released in 2022.
