The Secretariat of Environment (SEMA) and the Institute of Environment and Water Resources (INEMA) are pleased to invite you to the First International Forum on Environment and Blue Economy: Promoting Innovation Networks in the Brazilian Northeast. Organized in partnership with the Atlantic International Research Centre (AIR Centre). The Forum will bring together research institutions, companies and public agencies from various countries to exchanges ideas and experiences on innovation and the Blue Economy
The promotion of Innovation Networks to preserve the environment and to foster the Blue Economy in the Atlantic Ocean and coasts is the main theme of this event that will take place on Salvador, Bahia, Brazil, on August 14-15, 2019 It will provide an open forum for international scientific and technology collaboration between Brazil, Africa, Europe and the United States of America. The objective is to mobilise local and regional governments, researchers, entrepreneurs and civil society for the discussion of common policies and establishment of a common scientific agenda as well as the strengthening of local capacity and development of joint projects, aligning local priorities and global challenges, such as the UN 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, Decade of Ocean Science for Sustainable Development (2021-2030), the Paris Agreement and the Sendai Framework for Disaster Risk Reduction.
