Seabed Mapping and Cross-generational Collaboration for Ocean Conservation

During the event to celebrate the 10 years of the Galway Statement, during the Intergenerational Dialogue session: Empowering our future All Atlantic Ocean Stewards and Leaders, three questions were discussed with early career ocean professionals: How might inter-generational dialogues between ocean researchers and decision-makers influence the long-term outcomes of ocean conservation efforts? In the pursuit of sustainable use of ocean resources, what are some possible challenges that could emerge when collaborating across disciplines, cultures, and nations, and how can these barriers be addressed effectively? How can high-resolution seabed mapping help us to understand marine ecosystems and biodiversity and benefit from collaborative research initiatives?
