Interweaving Generations for Effective Ocean Protection

At the event to celebrate the 10 years of the Galway Statement, during the Intergenerational Dialogue session: Empowering our future All Atlantic Ocean Stewards and Leaders, three questions were discussed with early career ocean professionals: What are the potential benefits of creating networks and forums that facilitate intergenerational interaction and idea exchange within the ocean research and conservation fields? How can the protection of the marine environment bridge the gap between generations and ensure the transfer of valuable knowledge and experiences? How do you think the contributions and perspectives of the youth can be effectively integrated into decision-making processes related to ocean sustainability?
