Description

The Arrábida’s Oceanographic Museum holds an aquaria exhibiting the local marine life and marine research conducted at the local marine protected area. Rooms to visit: 1. Sala Luís Gonzaga do Nascimento – This room depicts the collections of marine animals preserved in liquid or dry collected in the Region of Setúbal-Costa da Galé-Espichel. The origin of the collection dates back to the beginning of the century and the naturalist Gonzaga do Nascimento; 2. Aquariums room – In this room are patent saltwater aquariums with fauna and flora of the marine coast of Arrábida. Here it is possible to observe some forms of peculiar and often unknown marine organisms of the general public; 3. Showroom – In this space you can find several thematic exhibitions always related to the Coast, Arrábida or Sado; 4. Video Room – A small room where the visitor can enjoy a video library of themes in the field of Marine Biology or Arrábida.
