Join us for “Tales from the Tide: Exploring Ocean Sciences through Storytelling”, a compelling Townhall session at the One Ocean Science Congress designed to highlight the vital role of storytelling in ocean science communication. Organised by convener Florence Coroner (IFREMER), this session aims to bridge the gap between science and society by equipping researchers—particularly early career ocean professionals—with the tools to tell impactful, engaging stories about their work.

Through a dynamic Atlantic panel discussion, participants will explore how storytelling can foster emotional connections to the ocean, inspire conservation efforts, and reshape public perception and policy.

This event will also encourage intergenerational learning and empower a new generation of ocean scientists to become not only skilled researchers but also effective communicators.

Speakers include:

  • Veronica Relano (Postdoctoral Researcher at EqualSea Lab, University of Santiago de Compostela, Spain)
  • Christian Fischer (Director and Co-founder, Onewater, Global)
  • Carson Straub (Data Scientist at OceanSync Inc., Canada)
  • Geraldine Guillevic (Director of Communications and Institutional Relations, IFREMER, France)

The OKEANO CSA supporting the All-Atlantic Ocean Research and Innovation Alliance is proud to support this initiative.
