This one-day thematic workshop shall bring together entrepreneurs, corporates, investors and stakeholders from the Blue Economy to discuss developments in the aquaculture sector. It shall look into areas where European innovation can have a competitive advantage and potentially transform the aquaculture industry, in line with the objectives of the EU Green Deal.
Objectives
Within the context of the BlueInvest platform, the workshop shall aim to:
- Feature key players and initiatives to demonstrate the way forward for boosting innovation and investment into sustainable aquaculture in Europe
- Provide a capacity building component to support SMEs and mature start-ups with their investment readiness
- Increase investor awareness in developments on sustainable aquaculture, and promote European technologies and projects with high potential
The BlueInvest Thematic Workshop on Aquaculture is a hybrid event that will take place within Aquaculture Europe 2021 in Funchal, Madeira, Portugal.
