Description

Since 2003, The Ocean Foundation’s (TOF) “International Ocean Acidification Initiative” (Initiative) has fostered innovation and developed strategic partnerships to empower scientists, policymakers and communities around the world. In 2018, TOF strengthened and expanded the ecosystem of stakeholders by establishing the Pacific Islands and Territories Ocean Acidification (PI-TOA) Network and elevating the importance of OA in regional policy instruments in Latin America and the Caribbean. In the coming year, TOF will renew its commitment to growing the global network of OA experts and increasing scientific and policy capacity to monitor, understand, and respond to OA.
