The Floating Labs is a collaborative research programme involving four oceanographic ships, built to accommodate university students and teachers while developing field and lab work on board. Each of the four ships will be spread along the Brazilian territory. The main aim of the program is to contribute to the development of experimental approached regarding marine sciences (Oceanography, Fisheries Engineering, Marine Biological Sciences, Marine Geophysics). Students have the opportunity to test and use diverse equipment and methodologies, plan and execute sampling approaches and learn about living and researching while aboard.
