Re-Colixo network is leaded by three Federal Institutes, and formed of Universities and NGOs. We are open to new collections to join us. Our aims are to form and keep scientific collections of marine litter items found during scientific and collaborative surveys in order to have physical evidence of our results and to be used in research and education at different levels and occasions. The principle of our work is close to that of any science collection, and we also promote exhibitions and short term courses on demand. We involve researchers, students and the public in different activities around the participating collections spread along the Brazilian coast.
