The Olhó Peixe Fresquinho!’s program aims to bring the society closer to the science by making known the importance of marine research in the context of fishing and sustainable management of marine resources. This program is developed by researchers in partnership with local fishmarkets. In these actions, participants visiting the fishmarkets have the opportunity to contact fishmongers in order they got to know more about the fish we eat, the fishing in Portugal, aquaculture and how research in marine biology contributes to the fishing industry.
