Blue Generation program is an educational program developed by Oceano Azul Foundation in close relation with the Portuguese Ministry of Education aiming at educating all children in Portugal, aged between 5 and 9 years old, about the ocean. Specifically, the projects intends that children in the first cycle of schooling gain a greater knowledge of the ocean and its importance to life on earth, by implementing a multidisciplinary approach across different fields. The program includes teacher training, preparation of literacy content, development of teaching support materials and support for school sports.
