The Ocean Explorers Field School program offers field experience that get students out in the field to experience first-hand what they’ve been learning in the classroom. Each program comes with pre- and post-visit resources that aim to help teachers to better prepare their students for this out-of-classroom learning experience. The program also offer career exploration opportunities for high school students in collaboration with ocean industry partners. Addictionally they promote Outreach Events that catered toward a specific school groups in a specific event, or toward the general public; and Summer Programming that provide a unique ocean-related learning opportunity for youth and the general public. In parallel with these activities ocean-STEM resources and professional learning opportunities for both pre-service and practicing teachers are made available.
