The Campus Maracanã (Numar) Mariculture Center extension project was ranked first in the “Technology and Production” category of the first Integrated Extension Forum of Maranhão Higher Education Institutions. Numar’s award-winning work implemented a system of native oyster farming with fishermen and shellfish farmers from the municipalities of Raposa and Bequimão, in the State of Maranhão.
