“Human Resources Training in Marine Sciences” is an action developed by the Brazilian Interministerial Commission for the Resources of the Sea (CIRM). From September 2005, the Navy Commander / CIRM Coordinator, the PPG-Mar Executive Committee, aims to support, consolidate and evaluate the training of personnel in Marine Sciences through undergraduate and postgraduate courses. In this sense, PPG-Mar develops initiatives aimed at strengthening the qualification and maximizing the use of Human Resources in Marine Sciences in Brazil, in the fields of Oceanography, Fishery Engineering, Aquaculture, Oceanic Engineering, Marine Biology, Marine Geology and other areas related to the marine environment.
