Funded by the European Space Agency, the Cerulean Information Factory (CIF) is supporting the green transition for the blue economy. Using Earth Observation data, CIF is creating decision-support tools for the Arctic and North Atlantic oceans, between Canada and northern Europe, including Greenland. Over two years (beginning in Spring 2024), three capabilities will be developed, focused on: Offshore Renewable Energy, Ship Carbon Intensity Minimisation and Arctic Accessibility, and Aquaculture. Throughout the project, the CIF team is engaging with end users to identify requirements and co-develop the tools that decision-makers in industry, government and civil society need for a successful green transition.
