The All-Atlantic Floating University network, officially launched in December 2022, was created in the scope of the Joint Pilot Action developed under the EU Funded Project AANChOR and in the framework of the All-Atlantic Ocean Research and Innovation Alliance (AAORIA). It is a collaborative network coordinated by Luís Pinheiro (lmp@ua.pt) that brings together 40 training at sea / floating university programs underway from 27 countries in the Atlantic, maximizing synergies between them, sharing of best practices, and jointly finding ways to promote more training at sea opportunities for students and early career ocean professionals from all over the Atlantic.
