Description:
Beach safety differs strongly from region to region and depends largely on a wide range of factors. Especially in Europe, where languages, cultures and beach morphologies are highly diverse, regulations concerning beach safety are not well known or disseminated among citizens. The The European Beach Hazards Platform, as part of the European Horizon 2020 project Sea Change, is the first pan-European platform collecting and presenting science based information regarding beach safety or the prevalence, prevention and cure of potential hazards.
