Description:
The School of the Sea, an initiative integrated in the Junior University, developed by the University of Porto in partnership with the Naval School and the Portuguese Navy, is an education program for the Sea, taught on board Portuguese Ships (NRP Zarco and NRP Polar). This program aims to provide an approach to the sea training and the teaching of pedagogical-scientific contents, allowing the participants to contact with the sea, to experience life on board, to acquire technical/scientific knowledge and general knowledge about the sea. All this in full team spirit, prevailing collective and individual security. In this school participants will be part of the ship crew and participate in all the dynamics of board.
