Description:

Joint research collaboration on ocean economy between Norway and South africa. On 12 November 2019 the NRF and the Norwegian Embassy in Pretoria signed a grant agreement for the funding of the joint research projects between South Africa and Norway under the SANOCEAN Programme (which stands for SA/Norway joint research programme on ocean research including blue economy, climate change, the environment and sustainable energy). This agreement is meant to facilitate and allow the NRF to receive top-up funds from the Norwegian government for the 10 South African research projects under this Programme.
