Save the Date: 2026 All-Atlantic Ocean Research and Innovation Alliance Forum 

Join us in Salvador, Bahia, Brazil, on 15–16 April 2026! 

Brazil will host the 2026 All-Atlantic Ocean Research and Innovation Alliance (AAORIA) Forum in the vibrant coastal city of Salvador, Bahia, on 15–16 April 2026. The Forum is the Alliance’s flagship annual gathering, bringing together the Atlantic Community. The Forum aims to showcase AAORIA’s scientific coordination in addressing ocean challenges. 

Building on the success of the previous Forums, the 2026 gathering will advance the All-Atlantic Declaration through ocean science, international cooperation, and collaborative action. 

It is hosted by the Brazilian Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation and SENAI CIMATEC, where the event will take place. It is also supported by the OKEANO Coordination and Support Action (CSA).

AbouttheMinistry of Science, Technology and Innovation of Brazil (MCTI) and SENAI CIMATEC: 

The Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation (MCTI) coordinates Brazil’s national policies in science, technology, and innovation. It oversees agencies such as the National Council for Scientific and Technological Development (CNPq) and FINEP and is responsible for developing strategies to advance technological innovation and scientific research in support of sustainable development. MCTI also plays a key role in Brazil’s relationship with international organizations in the themes of science, technology and innovation, helping to strengthen cooperation in areas such as climate change, biotechnology, and renewable energy. 

SENAI CIMATEC is a reference center in research, development and innovation in the most diverse technologies – from autonomous robotics to advanced health systems, through supercomputing, quantum computing and artificial intelligence – totaling 44 areas of competence.
