One Ocean Science Congress: scientific foundation for the 3rd United Nations Ocean Conference

The One Ocean Science Congress is set to provide crucial scientific insights for the 3rd United Nations Ocean Conference in June 2025. With 2,000 global experts addressing climate change, overfishing, pollution, and more, this congress will shape policies to protect our ocean.

Science-based recommendations will guide decision-makers in promoting ocean sustainability and tackling its pressing challenges.

We welcome contributions from the international scientific community on 10 key themes, which are aligned with the UN Decade of Ocean Science for Sustainable Development and intended to inform the Ocean Action Panels of UNOC3.
