The objective of the CLIBECO project was the study of the marine climates off the Atlantic coasts of the Iberian Peninsula with a special focus on the coasts of Portugal main land. The goal of the project was twofold: study the marine climate, from 1979 to 2012 and the study of the impact of global warming on the twenty-first century marine climate in the same area.
