The National Biodiversity Assessment of 2018 (NBA 2018) was launched by the Minister of Environment, Forestry and Fisheries, Ms Barbara Creecy, on 3 October 2019. The National Biodiversity Assessment is the primary tool for monitoring and reporting on the state of biodiversity in South Africa. It is used to inform policies, strategies and actions in a range of sectors for managing and conserving biodiversity more effectively.
