MOnitoramento da VARiabilidade Regional do transporte de calor e volume na camada superficial do oceano Atlântico Sul entre o Rio de Janeiro (RJ) e a Ilha Trindade

The MOVAR project is completing 10 years and has occupied that line more that 40 times part of the NOAA High Density XBT Programme (line AX97). The project has had continuous support from many individuals and institutions in Brazil and abroad: FURG, UFBA, CNPq, NOAA/AOML, Brazilian Navy(DHN/CHM) and Brazil-GOOS Programme. Finally, the project has been active in the capacity building in Brazil, helping to train more that 30 young oceanographers and undergrad students during the past 10 years.
